Construction is under way in Crystal Falls, an 1,800-acre lake and golf community in northeastern Cherokee and southwestern Dawson counties. The roads have been paved in the first phase, the final touches are being added to the golf course, which is set to open in October, the community’s marina will be completed in August and the first homes are now under construction.
Marketed by Prudential Georgia Realty, the upscale neighborhood will include an 18-hole championship golf course, a 411-acre lake, marina, Junior Olympic-size swimming pool, eight lighted tennis courts, country club, pavilion, walking trails and gated entry with 24-hour guard.
Home sites in Crystal Falls will be larger than average, ranging from one to five acres. In Phase I, 150 homes will be built, priced from the upper $600s to $2.5 million. Several lake and golf course lots are available in the first phase.
Crystal Falls is being developed by Dawson Cherokee Capital LLC. The Crystal Falls builder group currently consists of Mountain Oak Quality Homes, Three Bears Builders, AttWater Builders, Read Residential, Ledbetter Homes and Culver & Grimshaw, Inc., with additional builders to be added. When completed, Crystal Falls will be home to more than 600 families.
